ATTACKS ON WOMEN ARE ALL TOO COMMON...

Statistics show that violent crime and sexual assault are on the increase.  From walking home after work, walking to the local shops, nights out with friends to the growing out door running trend, women are becoming more at risk, this is compounded with the dark evenings.

Due to this it is becoming imperative for women to equip themselves with the skills to be more aware of potential situations, diffuse this if possible and if they are unlucky enough to be involved in a violent incident, to be able to effectively deal with that situation.

This course looks at educating and empowering you, so that you are able to make dynamic risk assessments of the situations you might find yourself in where harmful intent may be present.

We offer a 4 module course run over 4 weeks with each class being 90 mins long that aims to introduce women to an array of usable skills to improve their personal safety, from violent and sexual assaults to potentially abusive partners. Each course has a maximum of 20 people allowing for effective 121 coaching.

It will impart information you need to help you identify and avoid violence before it occurs. The focus of the course is on:

  • Creating an understanding and adopting personal safety habits that will firstly reduce your risk of being identified as a target
  • Assist you if you are targeted to defuse the situation
  • And then if necessary teach you effective techniques that will enable you to deal with an attacker.

Each module looks at a different skill set required for effective self-protection and personal safety as well as practicing previous skills learnt and adding them together to enable instinctive application when required.  At the end of the program you should feel more aware, more confident and empowered.

The course will cover the following areas:

  • Safety awareness in daily life
  • Assertiveness
  • Victim mentality
  • Understanding the violent mind
  • How to handle aggression
  • Identification of risk situations & their avoidance
  • A range of easy to remember, intuative and highly effective physical self-defence techniques

You do not have to be fit to take part,  just keen to learn how to feel more safe and secure on the streets and in your home.

Your instructor :

Martin Noddings has served in the British military and continues to work as an executive close protection operative (Bodyguard) delivering close protection and security services to ultra high and high net worth corporate and high profile entertainment clients.  He holds a 5th degree black belt in Taekwon Do, training for over 34 years. As well as Taekwon Do he is also trained in Ju-jitsu, full contact karate, Muay Thai martial arts and Krav Maga and Tactical Edge self-defence and combatives systems this allows him to teach effective, practical self-defence.
