We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jack Rowe, one of the longest-standing black belts at Warwick & Leamington TKD, on his remarkable achievement of graduating from The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as an Army officer. This milestone is not just a testament to his dedication but also a reflection of his incredible journey filled with challenges.
WLTKD’s chief instructor Mr Martin Noddings came out of a 7 year retirement from competing for last weekends Inter-services championships, an annual competition between the RAF, Army and Navy.
The competition was held at the naval base HMS Nelson, Portsmouth in their glass roofed sports hall on an exceptionally hot day, the temperature reaching 32 degrees.
The competition began with the sparring split down into two weight categories and each fight being 2 x 2 minute rounds. The competition was fierce as expected with a lot of young military personal competing for their respective services.
We are please to announce that we are supporting our Military personal, Emergency Services personal and their families by offering a 20% discount to any one holding a Defence Discount Service card or a Blue Light card.
In their day to day working lives these people are putting themselves in potentially vulnerable violent environments. We believe that we can assist them in their working lives and make it more cost effective at the same time.
