A fantastic weekend for the club. I couldn’t be prouder of our members this weekend at the ITF England National Championships!
To all our competitors, a huge well done. The standards were extremely high at the competition, and we saw some excellent results winning 31 medals in total, 7 of these being gold medals and 13 silver medals.
In light of the recent, shocking events in Birmingham and Huntingdon, it has never been more important to prioritise safety and well-being. Self-defence is not just a skill; it's a vital mindset that empowers people to face today’s uncertainties with confidence.
We are running our last intensive one-day self-defence course for 2025 in December. It is designed specifically for women to learn essential skills to protect yourself in today’s world, where safety is paramount.
After last nights black belt session at the Warwick-TKD club and the knife defence skills we practiced I thought I would post the below CCTV footage of a knife attack (please be aware it is graphic) but it allows you to see what a typical knife attack looks like and thus be a little bit more aware and ready if you are unfortunate enough to be in this situation.
