A great weekend spent at the T-UK instructor and child protection course held in Stratford Upon Avon. An essential update of qualifications to keep the Warwick and Kineton TKD club at the top of their game.
Well done Warwick-TKD, Chief Instructor Martin Noddings, Assistant Instructors Brian Feely, Lynda Parnell and senior coloured belts John and Rachel Hoult; Kineton-TKD Chief Instructor Lynda Parnell and Assistant Instructor Tom Dixon in theirs and their clubs progression and improvement and even better standards of teaching.
Tuesdays class meet Fridays class (although a few missing faces due to sickness and holidays). A great start to the year with great enthusiasm and team spirit within the club. Well done all, looking forward to a year of excellence :)

After last nights black belt session at the Warwick-TKD club and the knife defence skills we practiced I thought I would post the below CCTV footage of a knife attack (please be aware it is graphic) but it allows you to see what a typical knife attack looks like and thus be a little bit more aware and ready if you are unfortunate enough to be in this situation.
Students are always looking at how they can improve their kicking, jumping technique, patterns and sparring abilities. This is a multifunctional approach to achieve this:
- Perfect kicking practice and drills
- Lower body power improvement
- Balance and coordination improvement (proprioception)
