A great morning promoting the club at the local sports centre Newbold Common in Leamington Spa giving us the chance to spread the word and grow the club. Thank you to St Nics and Newbold Common Every Body Active for inviting us.
It was great to see so many of Warwick-TKD instructors and black belts attending the T-UK Technical course today in Stratford-upon-Avon.
A great opportunity for those grading in a couple of weeks to look for improvements, identify those final areas in need of attention and practice their general technical abilities. Instructors a good day checking their technical knowledge asking questions and looking for excellence to pass on to the club members. As an instructor its very pleasing to see how you have all progressed and improved through hard work and diligence.
Well done all investing in your personal growth and development as well as improving for the good of the club and the members.
A fabulous day yesterday at the T-UK British Championships. Our team was a bit depleted from normal with a number of people away and some others off sick! This Sunday saw the 3rd Mark Scriven T-UK Championships held in Stratford upon Avon. This drew competitors from around the country including a number of the current ITF England national team. Our students prepared well putting some hard hours in to get ready for the competition.
With any business growth it is essential to keep assessing the leadership team and the delivery of the service to keep it at its peak and deliver the quality classes for growth and development of the students. It's also important to recognise the development, growth and abilities of members as they progress through the ranks and reach Black Belt status. To this end I am pleased and excited to announce that we are expanding our instructor team at Warwick-TKD and have appointed Mr John Hoult and Mrs Rachel Hoult as Assistant Instructors.
A huge congratulations to two of our Warwick-TKD members who took their 1st degree black belt gradings last weekend.
I am very pleased and proud to announce that after a lot of hard work and exceptional dedication to the art both Mr Harry Hoult and Mr Richard Scannell were promoted to 1st degree black belt.
Thank you from all the instructors and students for representing the club at a high standard and achieving this accolade that so many other students that start the art fail to achieve.
Last Sunday saw our quarterly Hosin Sool workshop held at Warwick Space. Considering the atrocious weather and travel disruption we had a good turn out from students preparing for their upcoming coloured and black belt gradings as well as those just wanting to improve their street skills.
