Another year over at Warwick & Leamington TKD and time to choose the students of the year. We are thrilled to announce and congratulate the recipients of this year's awards:

Warwick TKD:

  • Adult - Tansy Moore

  • Junior - Tilly Whitehorn

  • Junior runner up - Sophie Nelson

  • Pee Wee - Sophie Graham

Leamington TKD:

  • Isla Wong

The selection process for these awards was not an easy task. We had numerous deserving contenders, all embodying the spirit of Taekwon-Do and demonstrating dedication to their training, which is why we decided to also award a runner up prize in the junior category this year. Our award winners stood out for several reasons beyond just technical ability.

Each winner was chosen based on their pursuit of improvement, both in their skills and their mindset. Their attitudes, both in and out of the dojang, demonstrating the core values of our club. They show remarkable resilience, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to personal growth and development.

We also considered their engagement in coaching and their openness to receiving feedback and apply that feedback, which demonstrates their desire to not only improve their own skills but also to influence their peers. Their consistent attendance and active participation in competitions and seminars further contributed to their selection, as did their supportive nature in helping fellow members achieve their goals.

The winners are chosen collectively by the entire Instructor team, ensuring that every viewpoint is considered in recognising the individuals who truly embody the spirit of our Taekwon-Do community. Each of these students has exemplified what it means to be a part of our club and has set a positive example for their fellow members.

Congratulations once again to Tansy, Tilly, Sophie N., Sophie G., and Isla. Hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed. And lastly thank you to our awesome Instructor team for inspiring and mentoring these winners and all the other members in the club.
